Which lamp and why?

All of our conversion kits use the D2S. The way the optics are designed in a conversion kit there is no advantage to be gained by using a D2R. The opposite is true as the D2R gives out 200 lumen less light than a D2S. The issue of glare is covered by custom coating the tip of the lamp when used in a 9006 or H7 application as per the halogen lamps that you are converting. This eliminates the parasitic images that are caused by stray light exiting via the curved front section of the glass burner. If this is not painted this curved glass act as a lens and causes glare.
